This course is designed for students who want to upgrade their AWFA training to a Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification. During this course you will cover more topics in more detail to get you up to the 80 hour wilderness first aid standard. There will also be more time to practice scenarios. Students must have a current (unexpired) 40hr Advanced Wilderness First Aid course to enroll in this program. Available to WMC graduates of AWFA.

Optional CPR course offered Sept 8th and Sept 29th, from 4-9 pm. Proof of Current CPR is required in order to issue the WFR certification, though pre-existing valid CPR certification is acceptable.

  • The WFR Bridge course will cover material designed for students who want to upgrade their AWFA training to a Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification. During this course you will cover more topics in more detail to get you up to the 80 hour Wilderness First Responder standard. There will also be more time to practice scenarios.

    Available to WMC graduates of AWFA, students must have a current (unexpired) 40hr Advanced Wilderness First Aid certificate from Wilderness Medical Consultants to be eligible to enrol in this program.

  • The WFR Re-cert course will be conducted at the West Vancouver Cricket Club, located in Hugo Ray Park, 1290 Third Street, West Vancouver, BC. Practical field sessions will be held outdoors near the classroom, as well as at a variety of sites on the North Shore, and may require driving to get to some sites.

    The location for the West Vancouver Cricket Club is just off the north side of the Trans Canada Highway, on the west side of the Capilano River. Please check out the map below for the specific location:
