Custom Squamish Rock

Our local ACMG Guides and Instructors are ready to get you out climbing on some fine Squamish rock this summer! Canada West Mountain School has been offering premier climbing programs in Squamish and the surrounding Sea to Sky region since 1982, far longer than anyone else!

Whether you want a half-day of instruction, are organizing an event for a group of people for a unique experience, have a school group in need of guides and equipment, or  you are looking to tackle one of the longer multi-pitch classics on the Chief, we will work with you to carefully craft your climbing adventure in Squamish to meet your specific needs.

Instructional & Experiential Squamish Rock programs
Regardless if you are looking for a technique refresher for just yourself, have a group of friends from the climbing gym who want to learn how to climb outdoors, or you have a group of 50 youth looking for a few days of climbing experience and instruction, we have the expertise and equipment to deliver a top notch program.

Instructional climbing sessions are available to climbers of all ability levels and all dates.

• 1:1 Instructor/Climber ratio: $575/person per day
• 1:2 Instructor/Climber ratio: $295/person per day
• 1:3 Instructor/Climber ratio: $210/person per day
• 1:4 Instructor/Climber ratio: $170/person per day
• 1:5 Instructor/Climber ratio: $140/person per day
• 1:6 Instructor/Climber ratio: $120/person per day
• 1:7 Instructor/Climber ratio: $100/person per day
• 1:8 Instructor/Climber ratio: $90/person per day
• Larger groups:
  • For larger groups, contact us to discuss details. We can easily accommodate groups of up to 60 people (including all climbing gear), with smaller sub-groups of climbing teams at various locations throughout the Squamish climbing areas.

All Instructors are members of the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG).

Please note that Instructional rates apply to single-pitch climbing objectives only. For instruction on Multi-pitch climbing routes, Guided climbing rates apply, see below.

Rock climbing programs are conducted in a range of conditions, provided safety is not compromised. Prior to each Booking, we will work with you and your group to decide on how to manage possible weather delays/cancellations.

Guided Squamish Rock
A Guided day of climbing in Squamish is a perfect way to explore new routes, complete an objective you have been dreaming about, or just to get out and climb with one of our local expert ACMG Guides to help you find the best route options!

Guided climbs are available to climbers of all ability levels and all dates.

• 1:1 Guide/Climber ratio: $595/person per day
• 1:2 Guide/Climber ratio: $325/person per day
• 1:3 Guide/Climber ratio: $225/person per day

Many guided climbing routes in Squamish are best done with either a 1:1 or 1:2 ratio; when you contact us we will discuss the specific details of the route options and guide/climber ratio available for your requested group size. Some routes and objectives can be guided with a 1:3 ratio.

Some of the longer and more challenging multi-pitch climbs in the Squamish region may have a surcharge, due to the length and challenge. Contact us for details.

Booking Conditions

• Costs include guides/instructors services & pre-trip organization and consulting
• Final dates will only be confirmed upon full payment in advance
• All costs are based on the numbers of participants booked in advance
• All participants must sign a Waiver and Medical Release form in advance
• Minors (youth under the age of 19 years old) are allowed to join with Parent/Guardian approval. Minors under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a Parent/Guardian, or authorized adult such as a teacher in a school program, adult sibling or family member, etc.
• Cancellation policies for all Custom Programs are determined on a case-by-case basis and will be determined based on the nature and timing of your program.
• Weather conditions will affect some Custom programs but not all. Please discuss the bad-weather options with our office in advance of booking.
• Custom programs costs are not eligible for any discount or promo codes
• GST is applied to all prices

Equipment provided:
All Custom Squamish Rock Programs (Guided/Group/Instructional/etc.) include personal climbing equipment, if required:

• harness
• helmet
• rock climbing shoes
• belay device
• ropes, anchor equipment
• all other safety equipment needed
