Squamish has always been the centre of rock climbing in Canada, and it just seems to get better every year. We just wrapped up another amazing Climbing Academy here with Arcteryx, welcoming hundreds of climbers  to experience firsthand the variety and quality of climbs on offer.

Now we are into the heart of a great west coast summer – not too hot, not too wet and not too crowded. The reason for the “not too crowded” comment is thanks to the tireless efforts of many local volunteers and oganizations such as the Climbers Access Society fo BC and Squamish Access Society. Between all these groups and individuals, there has been an explosive growth in new route development in Squamish, at all climbing grade levels. This means even when the parking lots are full, the crags are quiet. What more could you ask for?
