Canada West Mountain School leads climbing Expeditions to the high mountain ranges of Canada and Internationally, guides Mountaineering trips to countless Alpine destinations, conducts all levels of Rock Climbing courses in Squamish and Mountaineering courses across British Columbia, leads Ski tours throughout the Coast Mountains and runs one of the most comprehensive Avalanche Skills training programs in Western Canada.

No Mountain Guiding company can claim success without excellent Guides and Instructors and we consider our Mountain Staff to be the best in the international climbing and guiding community. As well, our company is owned, managed and operated by professional Mountain Guides certified through the IFMGA and ACMG - we are truly a Guides company.

A quality Mountain Experience
Our first climbing and avalanche safety programs in 1982 were driven by a desire to educate climbers and backcountry enthusiasts in safe, low-impact techniques for climbing, ski touring, hiking and mountaineering. At the same time, we focused on offering enjoyable, high-quality and exciting adventures.

Our goal remains unchanged as we enter our 26th year of adventures and courses around the world!
