Bruce, an ACMG certified Backpacking Guide, has diplomas in Outdoor Recreation Management and Outdoor Leadership from Capillano College in North Vancouver, as well as a Masters Degree in Leadership, and also practices as a Professional Life Coach. He has more than 30 years experience guiding trips and instructing in the outdoors from canoe trips in Northern Ontario to expeditions in Switzerland.

A CWMS instructor since 1990, Bruce has also worked extensively running his own adventure based kayaking and leadership school, and currently lives in Squamish, BC.
