Steve Wheeler is a physician specializing in Emergency Medical Care, based in Victoria, BC. Steve works with our Guiding and Instructional team in many ways, both reviewing our safety standards in regards to Medical issues as well as providing direct consultation via Satellite Phone to leaders on all of our programs should the need arise.

Currently the Medical Director for the BC Air Ambulance Service, Steve also has a passion for adventures in the mountains. A veteran of many international expeditions such as Aconcagua, Mt Elbrus, Kilimanjaro, as well as local mountaineering classics like Mt Waddington in BC’s Coast Mountains, Steve has a proven record both in the emergency room and while on Expeditions.
