John and Bill have had a chance to get up to Camp 2, now that their Puja ceremony has been completed on April 17. On April 22 they managed to move very quickly up to Camp 2 and settled in for a few days to acclimatise to that altitude, 6,450 meters (21,000′).

Both Bill and John have been doing very well and feeling strong and healthy. The Sherpa teams on the mountain have been doing an exceptional job of getting the camps and fixed lines on the upper mountain ready for the summit push.
